Green Tea Matcha | Starbucks Secret Menu

green tea matcha

Green Tea Matcha | Starbucks Secret Menu

Matcha tea powder comes from finely ground Japanese green tea leaves and dissolves easily into milk and water.

It’s a healthy choice considering the many benefits of green tea including promoting weight loss and providing your body with antioxidants.

So, if you’re looking for a beverage that’s lactose intolerant friendly or prefer to skip the milk in a Green Tea Latte, here’s a simple substitution that not only reduces calories but makes this beverage much more affordable as well!

If you enjoy your drinks cold have this recipe over ice for a beverage that tastes like iced tea. If you prefer a hot beverage, have the matcha powder steamed into the water and enjoy! Sweetener is optional.

Here’s the recipe:

  • Matcha Powder (1 scoop tall, 2 scoops grande, 3 scoops venti)
  • Water

Thanks to Ashlee E. for sending in this substitution idea! If you have a recipe you’d like to share, send it to starbuckssecretmenu [at] gmail.com and we’ll add it to the site.
